Haikou Xinhaigang Port Projects Nearing Completion

Recently, road signs and markings for the centralized inspection site project of Haikou Xinhaigang and Nangang "Second-Line Port" (for freight) have been finalized, indicating that the project is in its final stages and will soon be operational.

This project is a key initiative for the independent custom operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port, as well as a major project under the 14th Five-Year Plan for port construction in Hainan. With a total construction area of 233,740 square meters, the project is divided into inspection and supporting zones, including 230,000 square meters of newly built public inspection areas. Once completed, it will significantly improve the efficiency of vehicle and cargo movement, providing a strong boost to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.  

As the new year begins, Haikou's construction momentum continues to heat up, with multiple projects making significant progress. Let’s take a closer look: 

Recently, the final concrete was poured for the rooftop of Building 5, marking the full completion of the main structure of the resettlement housing in Phase I of Haikou's Henggoucun Urban Renewal Project. Currently, aluminum alloy windows, doors, and mechanical and electrical installations are being carried out, while five fully furnished model units are being rapidly developed. The 670+ resettlement units are expected to be delivered by the end of 2025. The project includes resettlement housing, commercial housing, public service facilities, and commercial spaces. The commercial building in Phase I, located near Xinbulu, will offer a variety of amenities, not only making life more convenient for residents but also attracting more visitors and injecting vitality into the area.

Jiangdong Tiandi Commercial Complex Project 

At the Jiangdong Tiandi Commercial Complex construction site, workers are busy installing exterior curtain walls, mechanical and electrical systems, and interior finishes. The project is now 80% complete and is scheduled to be fully completed by April this year. This complex will integrate high-end office spaces, premium commercial facilities, and art exhibition spaces, contributing to the high-quality economic and social development of Jiangdong New Area.

Recently, the Longtang Dam Hub Renovation Project on the Nandu River in Haikou successfully passed the acceptance inspection for the reservoir impoundment phase, marking a major milestone in the project's progress. As one of the 150 major water conservancy projects promoted by the national government, the project will significantly enhance the water supply security for Haikou's urban areas and Jiangdong New Area while alleviating flood control and drainage pressures upstream of the dam.  

Currently, the water transfer and distribution main pipeline project from Jiangdong New Area to Haikou's main urban area is undergoing pipe jacking construction between multiple Work Shafts. The project aims to be fully completed by the end of April 2025. As an important livelihood project for Haikou, this main distribution pipeline, which crosses the river via the Hairui Bridge, starts near the Qiongzhou Bridge and extends to the Hairui Bridge area. Once completed, it will effectively alleviate domestic water supply issues for residents in Haikou's main urban area.

Recently, at the construction site of the Huadian Hainan Regional Comprehensive Operations Management Center in Jiangdong New Area's headquarters economic zone, workers are installing exterior curtain walls, striving to meet the project's completion target. The center is scheduled to be operational by February this year. As the regional headquarters building of China Huadian Corporation in Jiangdong New Area, the project will bring together Huadian's affiliated companies in Hainan, focusing on international trade, international investment, finance, equipment procurement, and clean energy businesses.
