The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS 2024), themed “Global Services, Shared Prosperity,” has opened in Beijing. The fair, which is being held at the China National Convention Center and Beijing’s Shougang Park, will run from September 12 to 16. This year’s guest country of honor is France, which is serving in this role for the first time, with their national pavilion’s design commemorating 60 years of Sino-French diplomatic relations. Serving as guest provinces of honor this year are Sichuan and Hainan, also for the first time.
At present, over 80 countries and international organizations, 420 Fortune Global 500 companies, and industry-leading enterprises have confirmed their attendance. 120 forums and meetings will also take place during the fair, where topics including new quality productive forces, the digital economy, and sustainability will be hotly discussed in the hopes of turning exhibitors into investors and injecting fresh momentum into economic development.
