Over the first seven months of the year, maintenance was performed on 33 aircraft at the one-stop aircraft maintenance base located in the Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, with maintenance revenues exceeding 17 billion yuan ($2.42 billion), up 6.7 times over the same period in the previous year.

The base provides one-stop aircraft maintenance services including scheduled inspections, painting, and parts & accessories maintenance. Airline operators benefit from three preferential policies for aircraft maintenance services in the Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone. These include deposit exemption for inbound aircraft maintenance, tax exemption for aircraft spare parts, and refueling with bonded jet fuel. Thanks to these policies, the base has performed maintenance on aircraft from all around the world, including aircraft from the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Qatar, and more.

In addition to the preferential policies mentioned above, Haikou Customs is also working to further optimize services through measures such as preliminary materials review, immediate approvals, and fast customs clearances, assisting companies by providing information on maintenance plans, bonded maintenance supervision, and inspection requirements in advance so that maintenance times and costs may be reduced.
