At 18:00 on June 9, Flight GJ8851 arrived at Haikou Meilan International Airport. This marked the official launch of the round-trip air route between Hangzhou, Haikou, and Jakarta, Indonesia. With Haikou as the hub, the route connects key cities in the Yangtze River Delta and Southeast Asia, providing a new channel for deepening connectivity, economic and trade cooperation, cultural tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between China and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Hangzhou ⇌ Haikou ⇌ Jakarta route is the first international flight opened by Zhejiang Loong Air at Meilan Airport. Operated by Airbus A320/321 aircraft, it will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The outbound Flight GJ8851 departs Hangzhou at 18:00, arrives in Haikou at 20:50, and departs Haikou for Jakarta at 22:20. It will land at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta at 01:50 local time the next day. The return Flight GJ8852 departs Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta at 02:50 local time, arrives in Haikou at 08:20, departs Haikou for Hangzhou at 09:45, and arrives in Hangzhou at 12:35. Specific schedules are subject to the official announcements of the airline. Since May 1, the newly upgraded international transit area at Meilan Airport has been officially put into use.
